About Us

College Park Presbyterian Church is a diverse community of God's people. Our church is a family and we warmly welcome all God's children as our sisters and brothers. The primary purpose of College Park Presbyterian Church is to glorify God through our worship, service, education and mission. We seek to grow in our relationship with God and to grow in our relationships with one another.

Using Christ as our example, our members work to develop a powerful practice of prayer and to create programs that address the needs of a wide range of people. We have worship services on Sunday in both English and Spanish, and we also have Sunday School classes for all ages, several weekday prayer groups and Bible Studies, an Adult Lecture Series, and several ongoing community service projects. We also offer weekly Spanish and English language classes for the community, along with many special events throughout the year, such as Fellowship Dinners, Vacation Bible School, Concerts on the Church grounds, and Mission Discovery.

The Church motto reads: "Our tradition is love". This speaks volumes about the congregation at College Park Presbyterian. The Church offers an atmosphere of hospitality and acceptance to all who come seeking spiritual growth. No one is a stranger at College Park Presbyterian. One quickly feels the openness, love and warmth from our members. We feel it is very important in one's spiritual journey to work together, share meaningful experiences, and get to know our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Over the years, there have been many changes in the city of College Park but through it all College Park Presbyterian Church has remained a stable fixture on the corner of Main Street and John Calvin Street. Our church has been an important part of the history of College Park and we hope to be a vital part of this community's future. The members of College Park Presbyterian Church are working to be a part of God's mission in the College Park community and in with the whole Metro Atlanta area.

In response to changes in our community, College Park Presbyterian Church has been working since 2001 to build a Spanish language ministry. Under the leadership of Rev. Nelson Donado this ministry has grown from just a few members meeting in the choir room to a thriving group now approaching 100. This community not only meets the spiritual needs of members but also responds to the needs of many people in the surrounding communities. We have Sunday school and worship in Spanish on Sunday afternoon, a Wednesday night prayer and praise service, and an active bilingual youth program. Studying the Word of God, singing praises to our Lord, and enjoying the fellowship of others are all instrumental to Christian growth.

College Park Presbyterian Church is also blessed to have a facility that can be utilized by other groups in the community. We open our doors to provide meeting space for all kinds of organizations and activities. The church hosts diverse groups like A Growth Place counseling center, Reading Groups from Woodward Academy, The Atlanta Bonsai Society, Weight Watchers, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

College Park Presbyterian Church is a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.
